Another GREAT Find...

I noticed that one of my co-workers had the cutest purse...so unique, with gorgeous fabric. I asked her where she got it and she shared with me that her cousin made it AND has a website called JSF Creations where she sells several of her handmade items.

My co-worker's purse looks like this...

Isn't it adorable???? After browsing the JSF Creations site, I found a few other items that I really liked. This shoulder bag could hold lots of goodies...

And this one is just FUN!!!

I really liked the style of the Tulip Tote purse the best, so I had her make this one for me...

The Rock I've Been Living Under...

I'm not sure how I've found myself so out of the loop lately, I used to be up with the fads, trends, and latest things, but somehow I feel as if I've been livingunder a rock lately. ANYWAY, while on my BFF trip this weekend, I've learned about Toms Shoes. Have you heard of them?

Here is a little background about how Toms Shoes was created...

BFF Weekend!

I can hardly wait for the next two days to finally pass by. My BFF and I are going to meet up in Biloxi for a long weekend together. Biloxi is about half way between Texas and Florida, so we thought it would be a great place to meet up.

We've stopped there a few times before and we LOVE the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino.

This guitar is so awesome lit up at night!!! And the hotel rooms...

All I can say about the room is WOW!!!!

And of course it wouldn't be a fun trip unless we did a little of this...

Let's just hope our slot machines land on 7-7-7!!!!

We also have decided to eat dinner one night at...

My BFF LOVES Bonefish, but unfortunately they don't have them in Houston yet. So we always try to make sure and end at Bonefish when she comes to Florida and in this case, when we visit Biloxi.

This weekend is MUCH needed BFF time...can't wait to catch up, stay up late, gamble, eat, and just enjoy my BFF weekend!

Happy St. Patty's Day!

I know most of you will be all dressed up in your green attire today for the holiday, but the only GREEN that I could come up with was this...

I have been LOVING coming home each and every day to see this pretty GREEN drake elm in our front yard. You'd probably wouldn't believe that about two weeks ago there wasn't a single leaf on this tree at all. And now, it's so full and bright GREEN!

The Windy City...

I have been in Chicago, the Windy City, for the past two days to see our Vocal Department perform for the American Choral Director's Association Convention. There have only been two womens high school choirs selected to perform and our high school was one of them.

I have really been enjoying my trip...the food has been UNBELIEVABLE! I seriously will do a separate post just to tell you about the food we ate. Pitiful, but true.

Chicago is BEAUTIFUL! I have never seen so many beautiful buildings...the architecture and attention to detail is just unbelievable. This is the view from my hotel room....

We did a lot of sight seeing today and I made my mom a promise to try and find Oprah while we were in Chicago :) Although I haven't seen her yet, we did find out that she lives here in the Water Place Tower...

We took a trip to Millenium Park and the Pavillion they have is just gorgeous...

I would love to see a concert here!

We then made our way across this neat little bridge...

To the Cloud...

Isn't that the coolest thing ever??? All I could think about was how my little nephew would have had a blast seeing his reflection in the Cloud. We couldn't resist and took our pic in the cloud...

So funny!

We are headed to The Signature Room on 95th for dinner tonight. It is supposed to have one of the most breathtaking views of the city.

I'll post more pics later AND I will make that post about all the restaurants and food we ate :)



Wordless Wednesday...

Before We Know It...

I couldn't resist our gorgeous weather this past week. So I took a visit to our local nursery for a few more flowers...

We've got to get our backyard ready because we'll be having pool parties before we know it!!!

Kodi's Chair...

Kodi waits for us in our office when we are gone and normally he sits on our couch in that room...so he can look out of the window.

But I started noticing that our oversize chair was looking a little disheveled. The pillow would always be on the floor and the chair cushion was all smushed. But I finally caught the culprit...

He is SO busted!!

So now I guess that will be Kodi's Chair.

Dreams...What do they mean???

I have been having the strangest dreams lately...and to be honest, they are more like nightmares instead of dreams. The last three nights I have woken up with a pit in the bottom of my stomach from these dreams. Let me share them with you and you'll understand why...

Dream #1: On Sunday night, I dreamed I was diagnosed with cancer. Isn 't this terrible? Most ofyou know that my co-worker and friend, Tiffany, has been battling cancer and I have been trying to raise money for her family. I also found out this past week that another co-worker has breast cancer. I started taking a new medication for my colitis that is given through an infusion...which requires me to go to the Regional Cancer Center in my town. I have witnessed so many sweet people who are dealing with this terrible disease lately, so that might be why I dreamed about it...it has really been weighing heavy on my mind. Needless to say, that dream was T.E.R.R.I.B.L.E and I've had a hard time trying to get it out of mind this week.

Dream #2: On Wednesday night, I dreamed that I was rushing to the airport to catch a flight. I was having the hardest time packing my suitcase, deciding on what to bring, and then just kept getting stopped over and over again. So much so, that I missed my flight. Let me say that being late is one of my biggest pet-peeves. I can't stand it when people are late, I can't stand it when people make ME late, and it drives me crazy to think that I might be late ANYWHERE. So Thursday morning I woke up with my heart racing and almost felt as if I was having a panic attack. Needless to say...I was 15 minutes early to work that morning.

Dream #3: Last night I had a dream about my school. I blog a lot about my school because I think it's pretty fantastic. It's a performing arts school and students have to audition for one of our 8 arts areas to attend. This means that the majority of our kids are SUPER...and I when I say SUPER, I mean OUTSTANDING. They are respectful, trusting, honest, and just overall great kids. That's why my dream last night was strange...I had a dream that our students just revolted against me. In my dream, I went to observe our technical theatre teacher and when I walked into his shop, the kids were everywhere. It seems as if our entire student body was in his classroom. They were on the equipment, yelling, running around, playing games, throwing each other up in the air, jumping off of the rooftop, and just acting like crazy children!! I tried to get in the middle of them to stop them...I tried yelling at the top of my lungs for them to stop...I even tried to solicit help from other teachers...but nothing worked. They just laughed and laughed and kept doing what they were doing. So this morning, I am anxious to get to school because I KNOW our kids would NEVER act that way.

So why am I having all these crazy dreams lately. I typically don't even remember my dreams. But these dreams STAND OUT and are so vivid.
