The Ellen Show...

I am not going to lie and say that I have been watching The Ellen Show for a long time...for that matter, it's probably only been about 3 months. Boy was I missing out!!!

Can you say LOVE???

I am so in love with this show and with Ellen...she either makes me laugh till I cry or she surprises her guests/viewers with an outstanding gift which in turn makes me cry!

I have a few episodes that I have saved on my DVR so I can go back and watch them over and over again...especially on those days when I need a little pick me up.

Here are a few of my all time FAVS!!!

I have been ROLLING over this episode with Kellie Pickler. Her accent just tickles me pink! I also could not quit laughing on the part where she thinks someone is sneaking up on her.

And speaking of sneaking up on someone...this episode when Ellen scares the you-know-what out of Taylor Swift is pretty hilarious too!

Hair Happy Dance!!!

My hair is doing a happy dance because look what showed up in the mail yesterday....

I didn't realize how HORRIBLE my hair looked without this little beauty until my old Chi died on Monday.

So today is Hair Happy Dance Day!!!

Beaded Glass Tray and Trio...

I was SO excited to read Laura Ann's Blog and discover that I was the winner of her giveaway!!!

I won the adorable Amelia Beaded Glass Tray and Trio from Southern Living...

Isn't it just adorable???

I'm not sure what I am going to put inside the trio yet (or inside my apothecary jar for that matter), maybe some white tulips in the center and votive candles in the other two?!?!?

Fix It, Change It, Rearrange It...

So I finally got the time this weekend to do some of things that I adore...fix it, change it, rearrange it!

FIX IT

I came home from work last week and the DH had decided to clean out ALL the closets in our house. I was so excited EXCEPT he didn't finish :( When I got home there were boxes EVERYWHERE...and clutter drives me nuts. So I bit my tongue and tried to be patient. Eventually, our house got back to normal and all the boxes are finally out of sight. But the DH's cleanliness gave me the motivation I needed to clean out my own closet. I have SO many clothes, shoes, scarves, and MANY other things in my closet that I just don't wear or use any longer. I wish I had taken a before pic, but to be honest, I'm not sure I would EVER show you guys how terrible my closet looked. But after about two hours, five trashbags of clothes for Goodwill, two boxes of purses and bags to give away, and a little touch-up paint...

This is just the left side of my closet...I didn't think you'd want to see the right side with all the dirty clothes hampers :) After looking at this pic again, I'm realizing that I need to go through these shoes again and give some of them away too.

But I'm happy with my new fix!

CHANGE IT

The long awaited reveal of the Estate Sale Table I purchased a few weeks ago. I just KNEW it would look perfect in our hallway, but only after I changed the blue paint. So the table went from this...

To this...

Now I just need to add some accessories and it will be finished!

REARRANGE IT


Remember the round Pier 1 table I found on clearance right after Christmas? Well, I was hoping to put it in our entry hallway, but after posting pictures, you guys talked me out of it (and the DH hated it in the hallway). So I moved it to our living room for about a month, but it still wasn't in it's perfect place. When mom visited last weekend, she recommended I move it to our bedroom. So I rearranged a few things and this is what I came up with...

Now we've got a quaint little sitting area in our bedroom.

And our smaller table moved to a corner in our entryway...

Mother-in-Love LOVE!

My mother-in-love is so good at remembering our anniversary and makes sure to give us the perfect gift for each year.

She follows the suggested gifts for each anniversary and usually gives us the modern gifts.

For our first anniversary she gave us a clock.

For our second anniversary she gave us sheets.

For our third anniversary she gave us this glass serving tray with leather handles.

For our fourth anniversary she sent us flowers.

Our anniversary was in September, so why, you might ask, am I blogging about this now???

Well, I was cleaning out one of my closets and found our 3rd wedding anniversary gift...the serving tray with leather handles. I hadn't taken it out of the box yet and thought I should put it to good use.

It's so simple and yet so elegant. I LOVE it!

Now that is true mother-in-love LOVE :)

Little Progress...

I have been EXTREMELY busy this week with work and haven't really had a lot of time to do the things I like to do...organize, craft, decorate, or rearrange furniture. All I have felt like doing when I get home is eat and go to BED!

But I did want to share the little progress I've made with my table and mirror from the estate sale I went to last weekend.

Here is the original table....

I just LOVE it, but it is SO blue.

Here's a close up pic with the new paint job and I am in LOVE with the way it is turning out!!!

I still need to finish painting the rest of it and touch up a few spots, but this table is going to look GORGEOUS in my entry hallway.

Hopefully I'll have the time and energy to finish it up this weekend!!!

Guns....

That title got your attention, didn't it?? But I don't mean the guns that you load and taking hunting, I meant guns as in your ARMS!!

I am SO wanting to have those rock hard arms that look stunning in a strapless dress and with cute little camisoles for this summer.

I saw a few pics of myself over the holidays and realized that I better get busy or my arms are going to look more like watermelons instead of guns :)

This is what I'm looking for...nothing TOO muscular, like Madonna, but more like Jillian Michaels.

Or just a little toned like Jennifer Anniston.

I wouldn't mind having Kelly Ripa's perfectly sculpted arms.

Sooooo, how do I get there??? What are some exercises that I can do to focus on getting my own set of GUNS???

The Groundhog Knows His Stuff...

I never believed that a groundhog seeing his shadow could really mean we could expect 6 more weeks of winter. But I think this year, the groundhog knows his stuff...because it is COLD!!!

Last night my parents, my DH, my mother-in-love, my brother-in-love, and my sweet nephew, enjoyed the cold Florida weather. We sat outside by a fire and a heat lamp..and dad's spicey chili kept us warm too.

Today, Valentine's Day, we decided to take the family out to eat brunch. The DH and I usually go to Casa Marina in the summer...we ride our bikes on the beach and then have a drink on the balcony enjoying the beautiful ocean view. So we weren't quite sure what to expect at Casa Marina with this cold weather.

When we got their we were seated out on the patio area in a large white tent.

Can you see the tent on the left? That's where we sat and enjoyed the brunch buffet!

Bunco Update and Estate Sale...

Last night's Pajamas, Ponytails and Papertowels Bunco was a BLAST!! All of the pajamas were so cute and Rhonda, the host, made the best brunch EVER!! Here are just a few pics of the Bunco Babes...

On Saturday morning, Mom and I noticed that several cars were coming in and out of a neighbor's driveway. So we decided to stop by and see what all the fuss was about. Little did we know, the neighbors were having an estate sale. It was the last day of the sale and everything HAD TO GO! So we thought we'd take a peek and see if there were any items we JUST couldn't live without.

Mom came away with a few of these glass pieces for $12...

Yes, that is dogfood in that bowl...great idea, huh?

I picked up this adorable jacket for $1...

Don't you think this jacket would look great with a black shirt underneath? I think I just found my Valentine's Day outfit :)

But the best buy of the day was this...

Both items only cost $45!!!

I think after a little paint job, this table and mirror will be PERFECT in my entryway.
