Decorating Dilemma UPDATE!!!

Okay...I took your advice and put some accessories on my accent table. Take a look at my decorating dilemma now and let me know what you think now...

On a side note...the DH HATES the table right here (mainly because he took the corner too sharp and stumped his toe)...so I need advice on whether or not you think it should stay or go somewhere else!!

It's not too late to head over to Growing Our Own Garden and link up with your 2010 Resolutions!!!

Decorating Dilemma...

I have been itching to find an accent table for our entry hallway. We hung a gorgeous espresso mirror with gold detail in the hallway when we first moved into the house and decided to wait until we found the perfect table to go below it.

This Christmas my parents gave us a $75 gift certificate to Pier 1 and I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to find the right table.

So I ventured to Pier 1 last night in search of THE perfect accent table for our hallway. Unfortunately, every single table that I liked was too expensive...I think the cheapest table I found was around $199!!! So I decided to just save the gift card and wait until Pier 1 had another sale. But then, as I started to walk out the door, I saw it...the adorable Keady Accent Table.

What appealed to me the most was the gold detail on the table...I thought it matched the mirror perfectly!

So here is my decorating dilemma...I orignally wanted a rectangular console table to go in the hallway...not a round table. BUT the price for this beauty was just too good to pass up...originally it was $149.95 and I got it on sale for $69.98 (which means with tax, I spent $74.88...leaving $.12 on my gift card...SWEET!).

So what do you think? Should I leave the round table in the hallway or should I move the mirror and the table somewhere else???

Happy Wordless Wednesday...although mine is more of a Word-FULL Wednesday :)

I <3 Charming Charlie's...

My friend introduced me to Charming Charlie's...have you heard of this store before??? Not ONLY do they have any and every accessory you could possibly ever want, BUT the best part is that the entire store is organized by color. My OCD was in full throttle as I visited the store TWICE during my visit to Texas.

It's hard to explain the high I got shopping at this store...I was just in heaven looking at all the earrings, bracelets, rings, and necklaces.

I originally went to Charming Charlie's because I purchased a purple shirt and didn't have ANY jewelry to wear with it. But when I got to the store, I went to the purple section and found the perfect earrings!!

It's a little hard to see the earrings in this pic, but here is a close up pic...

Aren't they devine???

Here are a few other earrings that I just fell in love with...

The best part is that the prices are UNBELIEVABLE!!! I think I spent a total of $50 for all these earrings AND this necklace...

Isn't this necklace GORGEOUS!! I can't wait to wear it...I think I might wear it for New Year's Eve.

Now if I can ONLY persuade Charming Charlie to open a location in Jacksonville. Or at least allow me to purchase some of the jewelry online!!!

I just <3 Charming Charlie's...!!!

Christmas Evening 2009...

We normally spend Christmas evening at my grandma's house each year. She has had an Open House for YEARS...where everyone on my mom's side of the family could stop by, spread some holiday cheer, grab some food, and then go to the next Christmas party. This year though, it was spent with just our immediate family.

We had the BEST Christmas day dinner...spiral ham, pork loin (with Dad's signature sauce), green bean casserole, macaroni and cheese, Memaw's dressing, cranberry sauce, and of course Watergate salad!!!

Although we were stuffed to the brim, we saved a little room for the CAKE BALLS we made on Christmas Eve. We snagged the recipe from Kelly and they are TO DIE FOR!!

After dinner, we opened a few presents...

And then we tried to go outside to sit by the fire...

But, it was WAY too cold!!! So we opted to come back inside and take pictures of my uncle's adorable little dog, Doodlebug.

We had such a blessed Christmas this year and we're looking forward to another Christmas with our Florida family when we return.

I hope your Christmas was spent appreciating family, spending time with others, and remembering the reason for the season!

Christmas Morning 2009...

Here are a few pics of the Ponder family opening gifts Christmas morning...

Merry Christmas to you and yours!!!

Christmas Eve Traditions...

On Christmas Eve we have a few traditions that we participate in each and every year.

As a family, we ride in the back of a truck and look at all the Christmas lights in the neighborhood...

We FINALLY had some cooler weather, so we bundled up with scarves, hats, gloves, and blankets.

I must admit that the Christmas lights were very disappointing this year. Normally, this is one of the traditions I REALLY look forward to, but hardly anyone in my parent's neighborhood had lights up this Christmas :(

After the lights, we come home, have dinner, and play games. This year we played Catch Phrase!!

My dad was SO funny!!! He could not think of a clue for the word "global" so he said..."it sounds like lobal"...we all burst out laughing on that one!!!

And last, but definitely not least, our Christmas Pajamas!!

The three girls with matching pajama bottoms!

The four of us posing by the Christmas tree.

Even the boys participate in the Christmas pajama tradition :)

Overall it was a GREAT Christmas Eve shared with family. Stay tuned for all the Christmas Day fun!!!

Merry Christmas!
