I am LOVING fall and I just can't seem to stay out of my yard!! With the addition of a few mums and fall decor, I am really enjoying the look of our backyard this season...

Witches Feet...

My mother-in-love recently gave me a gift card to Pier 1 (one of my FAV stores). I couldn't resist heading over to the closet Pier 1 to check out all their new Halloween accessories.

I came home with this...

As soon as our local grocery store gets their pumpkins in, I plan on getting a LARGE one to sit on top of this stand instead of the mum. But for now, I think it looks adorable!

It is the cutest, rustic birdhouse I have EVER laid my eyes on. And I LOVE how it looks with my yard decorations!

Wordless Wednesday...

Mom and I went antique/thrift shopping this past weekend and look what I found...

This is the SECOND time that I have found a pair of Yellowbox Sandals in my size!! Normally Yellowbox Sandals range from $30-$60 and this pair only cost $12!!!

What a steal!!!

4th Anniversary Wrap Up...

The DH and I celebrated our 4th Anniversary in Destin. Just like our vacation this summer, the beaches and water did NOT disappoint! Here are a few highlights from our trip...

We met my parents in Destin and camped in style!!! They brought their motorhome and we stayed with them for the long weekend. We also spent a few nights cruising in the golfcart and checking out the rest of the state park.

We spent three of the four days at the beach...mom and I looked for shells while the boys hung out in the water. Here is a pic of dad feeding the birds our left over biscuits from breakfast.

My FAVORITE meal of all time is Shrimp Gumbo. My dad gave me the secret family recipe and it was DELICIOUS!!!

I couldn't resist posting a pic of one of my parents' dogs...Maci Monet. She is a Brussels Griffon and just steals our hearts every time we see her. One of these days we are going to sneak her home with us for good!

On Sunday night we ate at The Crab Trap. The food was out of this world!!! We were all SO stuffed from eating calamari, fried shrimp, broiled shrimp, and crab legs, that we had to walk the pier to help our food settle.

Overall we had a great time in Destin. We really needed this time together to relax, get away, and to celebrate four wonderful years of marriage!

A SCARY Makeover!!!

Yet again, Faith from Walk With Me By Faith, has out done herself.

She has given me the cutest Halloween makeover EVER!

Because Halloween is one of my FAVORITE holidays, I just couldn't resist getting a makeover to celebrate the entire month of October. I am so looking forward to all the festivities that come with the month of October...cooler weather, sitting by the campfire, the smell of pumpkin spice candles, and most importantly, the adorable trick-or-treaters on Halloween night.

Thank you Faith!! You never cease to amaze me :)

Look Who's Turning TWO!!!

My sweet nephew, Mikey!!

We had a great time at Mikey's birthday party this past weekend...and so did HE! He played in his Little Tykes bouncy toy, lounged in his pool, blew out his candle on his piggy cake, and opened tons of presents!

It's hard to believe that it has already been TWO years!! And although I might be a little biased, I think he is the sweetest TWO year old EVER!!!

Getting Ready for Christmas...

Growing up we ALWAYS had the best Christmas decorations in our neighborhood. I can remember so vividly all the yard decorations my parents had in our yard. One year my dad made these wooden candy canes that lined our driveaway. Another year we had a wooden toy train with all kinds of Christmas presents and elves loaded inside of each cart. Now my mom has the cutest wooden snowmen in her front yard with a sign that reads "Will work for Snowcones!"

I have imagined what wooden decorations I would get for my yard one day and finally connected with a lady in Houston that makes the cutest decorations!!

Here is a sneak peek of the Santa that I ordered...

He looks a little short in this picture, but our Santa is going to be 6 feet tall! Don't you think he is just the cutest Santa EVER???

I also got five stars that match his vest to go around the yard too. Next year, I'll work on getting a big Christmas tree with presents.

I can't wait to see what our yard will look like this year with our new Santa!!!

Summer Favorites...

I was tagged by my sweet friend Kelly from Life in a Small Town to do this cute little Summer Favorite Post. So here we go....

Favorite Summer Movie: The only movie I saw this summer was My Sister's Keeper. Although I thought the book was MUCH better...I cried like a lunatic through the entire thing :(

Favorite Summer Cocktail: I am in LOVE with Sonic's Cherry Limeade for some reason. I think because I gave up caffiene...so I have been drinking Cherry Limeades like CRAZY!

Favorite Summer Song: I don't really listen to the radio...just my CD's. In particular, I have been listening to all three of my Lakewood Church CD's...I can't get enough of Cindy Cruse Ratliff.

Favorite Summer Meal: My favorite summer food is Tostitos and Texas Caviar...I am SO in love with this dip. I think I may post the recipe soon because I think EVERYONE will fall head over heels for it too!

Favorite Summer Outfit: I bought a TON of strapless dresses this summer and seems like everwhere I went, I had one on :)
