We are so thankful for all the monetary donations we've received for our Chip-ins, as well as the donations for our future giveaways. We are starting to see a light at the end of the tunnel as we continue to raise money to help pay for our adoption/fertility procedures.

Wordless Wednesday...

I took a picture of my mom and dad's swing when I was in Houston. It is very similar to ours...

I can't wait until my jasmine is as full as the jasmine on their swing!

So You Think You Can Dance...

My mom purchased tickets for the four of us girls (Lisha, Tedra, mom and I) to see the Houston tour of So You Think You Can Dance!!! We have been looking forward to this night for quite some time and it did NOT disappoint!!

We all four had a GREAT time! I can honestly say that SYTYCD is even better LIVE. The dancers, their bodies, and the choreography are all just amazing! Dancing has always been one of my passions and after tonight, I remember how much I truly love every aspect of it.

Secret Family Recipe...

My sister and I went to Mother's so she could give us the secret family recipe for baking pies...well, the secret for making a GREAT pie crust! Mother gave us a list of pies that she makes and let us choose the kind we wanted to make. I chose applie pie!! Here are a few pics of our Baking 101 lesson...

After dinner last night, I tried the apple pie that I made and it was DELICIOUS, just sayin!!! I think I'll be making pies for the holidays. Unfortunately, I won't be able to share the secret family recipe...you'll just have to come over and taste the pies for yourself :)

Kodi's Clone...

Last night a friend of ours brought his husky puppy over to play with Kodi. My DH sent me the pics and I am SO sad that I missed out on this little playdate. You'll understand why when you see these pics:

Do You Know Who I Am?

I have spent the last three days in Fort Lauderdale at a conference for educators. I walked away with a LOT of material that I can't wait to get back and share with our faculty. I just love attending workshops with MOTIVATING speakers...it makes a world of difference.

The presenters not only made each session interactive, but they also showed all sorts of video clips to help us understand what they were trying to convey.

This Post is for Mom and Mother...

I am sure that MOST of you are sick and tired of seeing pics of my yard. But two of my favorite people are always asking about my yard and how things are growing. So, this post is really for my mom and for Mother.

I had this old wooden tool box in my garage and decided to put it on my back porch with some gourds for a fallish look.

Here is a wide view of the decorated fence...notice that Kodi wanted to be in this pic too!

Mom was in Jax when we bought these plants and I think the purple verbena looks so pretty!

Everything is starting to fill in nicely...you can't see them very well in this pic, but the bleeding heart is almost to the wagon wheel and has pretty white and red blooms all over it!

Look how tall our Fireman's Cap Tree is getting!!! I cannot wait until it is as tall as Mother's! This tree is going to be a major conversational piece in our yard.

I'm just waiting for my DH to take me up on my idea of putting river rock in this back area of our yard. The pine needles are driving me CRAZY!! I have a vision of river rock with a flagstone path...doesn't that sound inviting???

Here is an updated pic of the plumeria that Mother gave me. It has really shot up since this summer. I am hoping that by next spring I will see some blooms.

About a month ago I planted Red Sister (behind the potted plant) and the Veriegated Ginger (to the right). I thought they both had pretty colors and would enhance this corner of the yard.

Unfortunately all my mums look TERRIBLE!! So I moved them to a hidden corner in the backyard, de-headed all of them, and am praying they come back. So, I adorned the front door with what else...MORE pumpkins.
