Camera Dump...

Okay...so I lied. Well, I didn't really lie...I had good intentions of being a good blogger this summer, but we have just been so busy and my blog has taken the back burner :(

So I decided to just do a camera dump from my phone so you could see what we've been up to.

Last week I went to Orlando for the Model Schools Conference. We had a little bit of a hotel mishap, but ended up at the Gaylor Palms and Convention Center. The hotel was beautiful and I enjoyed eating lunch on our balcony...

...and people watching of course :)

While I was attending the conference, Tropical Storm Debby was making her debut in Jacksonville. The weather in Orlando was just off and on rain, but when I talked to David he said it was like a monsoon in J-ville. Luckily on Wednesday when I headed back home, the weather looked like this outside...

 Luckily all the rain from Debby REALLY helped our yard. I have been trying to grow a Fireman's Cap tree for years and when I got home, I was pleasantly surprised to see how much it had grown.

I can't wait till this tree has pretty firecracker red blooms on it!

Kodi was SO glad to see me when I got home from my conference.

He plopped in my lap for some lovin while I was watching tv :)

My mom introduced me to this company called Spartina 449. They have the PRETTIEST iPad covers. Check out the one I ordered....

I absolutely adore it!!! The material almost feels like burlap and the pattern just makes me swoon :)

The inside is so nice too...there is a holder for your stylus, a little pocket for important papers, and a place for business cards.  I couldn't resist and bought a different patterned case for my school iPad :)

Sorry this post is SO random, but it seems like that is how my life has been lately. We will be heading to a friend's wedding this afternoon, so I'll be back soon with all the pictures from the big day!

Memories...

I was going through some folders on my computer the other day and came across some pictures that I had forgotten we had taken. There's nothing like reminiscing with some old pics...

Weekend with Friends...

We had a jammed packed weekend with friends. Our good friends, Blaise and Julie, moved to Louisianna last October and were in town visiting. We were SO sad when they moved, so we were thankful to have them stay with us for four days so we could not only catch up but also see their sweet 7 month old, Baby Blaise.

On Saturday we had a pool party and invited about five couples and their kiddos over for hamburgers and hot dogs.

The kids (and adults) enjoyed playing in the yard and throwing the ball around...

The girls took turns holding this sweet little thing...

And the pool was just the right temperature (it's still too cold for me, but the kids didn't seem to mind)...

We had a blessed weekend spending time with friends...LOVE weekends like this :)

Update and David's 40th Birthday Party...

I have been MIA on the blog for some time now. My parents have been in town and I tried my best to soak up every single moment of their visit. We had a great time...a lot of hanging out at their new property, enjoying my dad's cooking, and just spending quality family time together. Unfortunately, I didn't take a lot of pictures while they were here :( So this post will NOT have a lot of photos.

I have also been spending my time wrapping up the 2011-2012 school year. We had half days the last week of school and you would think that the days were EXTENDED (or at least that's how I felt). We also had our graduation on June 7th, and like always, it was a beautiful ceremony. This week is teacher post-planning, so we are getting a jump start on preparing for the 2012-2013 school year!!

Now that everything will hopefully start to slow down, I need to get my focus on David's 40th birthday party. I already sent out Save the Date cards, but need to get busy on a lot more of the details. I have a few things "up my sleeve" that I can't blog about, but here are some details that I can share.

I ordered the invitations from THIS ETSY STORE...

I'm sticking with the blue and red theme. I am anxiously awating our personalized invite, but I already like the design and layout of this sample one.

I also ordered a sign to hang up at the party from my friend Natalie...

She does EXCELLENT work and the sign turned out EXACTLY how I was hoping it would. I sent her a picture of the banner below and she matched the sign perfectly :)

Now that summer is underway, I'm going to do my best at posting more often about all the fun things going on around the Knight household. We have some special guests coming in town next weekend for a visit, so I'm sure I'll have tons of pictures to share soon!

Flower Obsession...

I was going through the pictures on my cell phone and found a particular pattern that I'd like to share with you. Let's just call it a FLOWER OBSESSION!

It seems as if I have an obsession with all the new blooms in my yard...I just can't help it :)
