October...

I am loving the month of October! Not only is Halloween one of my favorite holidays, but the weather has FINALLY cooled down a bit. Last night we were able to sleep with our windows open...and it was Heaven! Here is our forecast for the next week...

PERFECT!!!

I did a little craft project this morning too. When my best friend was in town last weekend, we picked up a monogram vinyl for her to put on her pumpkins. Unfortunately they didn't have a "K" in stock :( So I thought I could be creative and just draw one on the pumpkin myself. This is how it turned out...

I just used a white paint pen and freehanded the "K" and then used a black sharpie to outline it. And here it is outside...

Love it :) And it was F.R.E.E!!!

The hubby and I went to a Halloween party this weekend too. I ordered the cutest maternity Halloween top to wear, but it didn't arrive in time for the party. So we picked up some matching costumes and went to the party as jailbirds...

It was a pretty lame costume choice, but it was the only costume that we thought would be comfortable. Mine was actually a dress, but with the belly bump, the dress was too short, so I put on some black leggings :)

This pic is a little fuzzy, but I had to share the hubby's mustache...funny!

October has been pretty fun so far and I'm looking forward to passing out candy in a few weeks to all the adorable little kiddos trick or treating :)

Check it Out...

One of my friend's mom created an Etsy store to sell all her beautiful scarves. It's called Knit1Merle2. She's worn some of her mom's creations to work and I love how creative, unique, and gorgeous all her scarves are. As I was browsing her Etsy store the other night, I realized that a lot of the yarn that she uses comes from South Africa.

If you have a minute, you should check out the scarves she has for sale...and of course pick one up for yourself or for a gift. You'll not only be amazed at the quality of the scarves but the compliments you'll get when you where them :)

It's Starting to Look Like Fall...

It's starting to look like Fall at the Knight Home...ONLY on the inside though. The weather is still pretty hot here, but I am hoping that it will cool down soon.  I've actually had my Fall decor out for a while now, but this weekend I added a few of my Halloween items.

I really don't know why I have this fascination with Halloween, but it actually comes in a close second with my love for Christmas. Anyway, on to the Fall decor :)

I still need to pick up a few pumpkins for around our front porch, but this is how it looks right now...

I purchased this pumpkin door hanger last year and just LOVE LOVE LOVE it! After I add a few pumpkins by the urns, I think my front porch will be complete.

I have this three-tiered stand on our kitchen dinette table and usually have fruits and vegetables displayed on it. But I couldn't pass up the little pumpkins and corn at the grocery store this past weekend...

I asked several people what I could put in the top basket and I had several people mention acorns and pinecones. I definitely like the acorn idea, but pinecones were easy for me to get for the moment...I just ran out to my backyard and grabbed a few :)

I have had this witch and cat for YEARS...like literally over 15 years :) I changed the ribbon out last year to give them a fresh new look...

That pumpkin in the background on our dining table is one of my favorite Fall decor items...just love it!

Here is our mantel right now...

That owl was a STEAL at Home Goods last year...what a cutie!

I snapped a quick picture from our living room window of some of the mums in our backyard....

Now if only the weather would cooperate and cool down about 10 degrees....
