Summer Knights and Headed Home...

I just LOVE my new blog make-over for summer...now I just need summer to get here...and QUICK! If you are interested in getting a summer make-over go visit Faith and get going...she has a TON of design kits to choose from. You will NOT be disappointed!!!

I am leaving for Florida in the morning and I am so sad :( I have had a GREAT week visiting with my family and friends. My stay in Houston was really relaxing and I definitely ate WAY MORE than I should have. I will be going on a food detox starting TOMORROW!!!

Although I am so sad to be leaving my family, I am looking forward to seeing my DH and my sweet Kodi...I'm sure my boys missed me just as much as I missed them :)

In the Dumps...

I created a blog to share our journey of becoming parents, Growing Our Own Garden , and to share, hear, and pray with the other women that are experiencing infertility. I have a long list of fellow "gardeners" that are attempting IUI, IVF, shots, medication, frustration, and emotional rollercoasters.

I got up this morning to catch up on their lives and to see how everyone is doing and just walked away down in the dumps. I am so sad to discover that yet again, MORE negative results. It just saddens my heart to hear all this bad news....because I KNOW, first-hand, what these ladies are a feeling.

If you have time, please take a minute to stop by my other blog and pray for these ladies and their husbands...I know they would REALLY appreciate it. AND, if you have a little more time, please stop by Kelly's Dwelling in the Land---Kelly created this blog for those waiting on a child, whether it is adoption, natural conception, or assisted fertility.

Oh, I almost forgot......

Just a reminder that tomorrow is the last day to enter my 100th post giveaway on my Infertility Blog....Growing Our Own Garden. So visit this post for a chance to win the greeting cards of your choice :)

Having a Blast...

I haven't been posting as much this week because I am in Houston visiting my family...and having a blast, I might add!!

So far, we have done a LOT of eating!!! Which means, I'll have to get myself back out and start running again when we get back. Here is a little run down on the events as of today...(minus pictures--as soon as I download my pics, I'll share them in a post)

  • On my first night in Houston, after a 12 hour drive, we ate at one of my favorite Mexican food restaurants...you can't beat Tex Mex!!
  • On Sunday, the DH and my dad were entered in a Sporting Clay Shooting Tournament. So we took my parent's motorhome to watch the boys. The did a lot better on Sunday, as the wind had died down. I'm proud to say that the DH placed in his category...he came away with 3rd place!! Way to go honey :) That evening I surprised the DH by making reservations at Hotel Derek...where we got married and had our reception, almost four years ago. The hotel was even more beautiful than I remembered...so modern, so simple, and just GORGEOUS! We ate at a restaurant called Champps and it was so YUMMY!
  • Monday we came back to my parents house and I stopped by and picked up Jack in the Box for everyone---I LOVE Jack in the Box and we don't have a franchise in Florida :( So I always try to stop by Jack in the Box and get a few of their tacos and french fries. Last night we ate gumbo---my all-time favorite meal! My dad makes the best gumbo and I can eat it until it makes me sick :) We also went and visited my cousin's little baby yesterday, Jordyn. She was born early and was 4 pounds at delivery. Sunday was her actual due date and she now weighs 8 pounds. She is just precious and I have a few sweet pictures of her to share later.

As of today, I'm planning on hanging out with my #1VBF all day long!!! She is a librarian at a local Middle School and took the day off to hang out with me. We are also planning to visit my grandmother today and then visit a couple of friends.

We are SO enjoying our time in Houston and I can't believe it is TUESDAY already...how time flies!
